About
PocketPlay Review started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots and complaining about clumsy touch controls. Eventually we figured we might as well write it down for other people who care about how a game runs, not just how it looks in a trailer.
Everything here comes from playing. We install a game, live with it for at least a week, and pay attention to the boring stuff: how hot the phone gets, how fast the battery falls, whether the on-screen buttons cover the action. Only after that do we form an opinion.
We pick titles across every genre so the site isn't just puzzles or just shooters. Some are big releases, some are quiet things a reader emailed us about. The one rule is that we have to genuinely spend time with a game before it gets a page.
Nobody pays us to say nice things. If a game annoys us, we say so, and if it surprises us in a good way, we say that too.
